flattie Bluebird

We saw a picture of this on a website and Melissa had to have one. He was stitched on the way to New Jersey going to the beach. I'll have to find the original site and give them credit for their cute design.

Here she is cupcakesforclara@yahoo.co.uk. Thanks for the link usage.

Laurel's friends

Laurel found a few new friends. Today i was doing yard work and found 5 toads.

Stargazer lillies

Melissa took this picture in July at dusk. Great picture Melissa !

Easter Lilly

Most Easter lillies bloom somewhere around Easter, mine bloom at the end of August. Actually this is their second blooming.

Sunflowers in the yard

It was so nice of our chipmunks to plant these for me. Being that I provide them with lots of bird seed, it is the least they could do for me.

Our killer rabbit

Spool Holder

This came from a garage sale for $1 I believe. The man said his kids used this for their Matchbox cars. I thought it would make a great thread organizer.

Chairs With A Face Lift

Before and after shots of dining room chairs that I upholstered for a lady. There were 6 chairs and a table runner to match.

Cupcake With 0 Calories

Doughnut With Vanilla Frosting

I tried this one using washable suede. It wasn't nearly as forgiving as felt.

Wooden Spool Pincushion

I love the little ladybug on the base of the spool. The mini strawberry is so cute !

Morning Eggs

I used glass beads for the salt and tiny black stitches for the pepper

Lamp #2

This lamp is made of 2 antique wooden spools. The guts of the lamp is recycled wire from an ugly donor lamp. The shade still needs to be tea stained.

Lamp #1

This lamp was a steal at a garage sale for $1. I added some of my wooden spools, spray painted the bottom black and bought a new shade. I had to replace the switch (thanks Uncle Donnie). For about $15 I have a lamp that I love.
